Marketplace Status Updates
How RFQ, quote, order, and support updates work during the NowToPrint live marketplace pilot.
Marketplace Status Updates
During the live pilot, marketplace updates are designed around durable records rather than live chat promises. RFQs, quotes, orders, payment checks, file readiness, cancellation requests, and support messages must remain traceable after the moment passes.
What updates in real time?
- New RFQs appear on the public marketplace and relevant dashboards unless admin visibility is paused.
- Quote counts, quote status, and order status are refreshed through the marketplace surfaces.
- Buyers receive notifications for important actions such as a received quote, order creation, payment result, missing files, cancellation outcome, and completion.
- Print shops and operations see the queues they need for quote, payment, file, and production follow-up.
Support during first live
First-live support is not an instant live chat guarantee. Use the contact/support form and include the RFQ, order, or tracking code when available. The request is stored as a durable support case so operations can follow it from the admin support queue without losing context. Where order messaging is available, it is limited to the buyer and supplier participants on that order and remains part of the tracked order context rather than an open negotiation chat.
No live chat promise
If a screen shows a future chat component, treat it as a roadmap surface until server-side participant checks, audit, rate limits, notifications, and Firestore rules are complete.
