Order Payment Confirmation
In the live pilot, an order is created when the buyer accepts a print shop quote. The order then enters payment readiness and a production hold. Payment confirmation releases the hold as a production_ready_after_payment signal, but it does not start PrintTalk, a print-shop bridge job, PDF Tools, Edge Hub, XJDF execution, or fulfillment in this phase.
Card payment and escrow are not included in the live pilot.
From order to payment readiness
- The buyer accepts a quote.
- The order is created with nested payment and production hold status.
- The buyer or operations requests payment readiness.
- NowToPrint operations confirms the payment method and payment status.
- The production hold becomes inactive and the order is marked ready for a later production gate.
- Production handoff and fulfillment start only in a later phase.
How payment is confirmed
Payment confirmation is manual during the pilot. Examples include bank transfer evidence, open-account approval, proforma/invoice terms, or an operations approval note on the order.
