Keyboard Shortcuts
Focus, navigation and view shortcuts for PDF preview and the workflow canvas.
Shortcuts depend on the focused surface. This page documents the current PDF preview and workflow canvas; an old Design Studio shortcut list is not a universal application contract. Use Tab to reach a control and Enter or Space to activate it. A text field keeps its normal editing behavior.
General
In a workflow canvas with focus, Ctrl/Cmd+Z undoes an edit and Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z redoes it; Ctrl+Y also redoes. These commands edit the workflow, not the PDF content. Use the surface's visible Save or Export action and verify its result; Ctrl+S is not a universal account-save command.
View
Focus the PDF preview canvas first. These keys need no Ctrl/Cmd modifier:
| Action | Key |
|---|---|
| Zoom in / out | + or = / - |
| Fit page | 0 |
| Fit width | W |
| Pan preview | Arrow keys |
| Pan farther | Shift + arrow keys |
The mouse wheel over the PDF canvas zooms around the pointer. These are viewer controls: they do not resize page geometry or change output scale. 0 means fit page, not 100% zoom.
Objects
With the workflow canvas focused, Ctrl/Cmd+D duplicates an eligible selected node/subflow; invalid duplication is refused.
In the workflow canvas, supported selection commands act on workflow nodes, not text or images inside a PDF. Use visible controls for node editing. PDF preview does not provide the retired generic group, ungroup, duplicate-artwork, layer-order or Ctrl+L lock shortcuts.
Text
When typing into an input, use the input's supported editing commands. The PDF preview is not a rich-text editor: Ctrl+B, Ctrl+I and Ctrl+U are not documented PDF font-formatting commands. Correct artwork text in its source application and export a new PDF.
Alignment
Preview panning and fit commands change what you see, not object alignment in the PDF. Use the selected workflow/tool's explicit geometry or alignment controls, where offered. Do not use old Ctrl+Shift+L/C/R mappings as production-edit instructions.
Page Navigation
With the PDF canvas focused, PageUp goes to the previous page and PageDown to the next, bounded by the document's page count. Arrow keys pan the preview. Home and End are not mapped to first/last PDF pages in this viewer.
Search & Commands
Ctrl/Cmd+K focuses search only in surfaces that install that shortcut. It is not a universal organization switch or permission bypass. Use the workspace selector for context changes. Ctrl+H is not a documented application-wide find-and-replace command.
Tool Selection
The PDF canvas uses these context-specific keys:
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
N or ] | Next available finding |
P or [ | Previous available finding |
| Enter or Space | Open the selected finding |
T | Toggle sheet content/page numbers, only on an imposition sheet grid |
T is not a text tool and P is not a pen tool in this viewer. A finding shortcut does nothing when no applicable finding exists.
Pro Tips
Check focus before using a shortcut, especially after entering a value or opening a dialog. The preview's view menu includes its keyboard reference. Keep a source PDF before edits, inspect generated output and rerun the applicable check after a document change.
Customising Shortcuts
The current Preferences page does not provide a shortcut-remapping screen. Browser and operating-system shortcuts can take precedence; use visible controls when a combination is intercepted.
