Welcome to NowToPrint! This guide walks you through everything you need to start using the platform in under 5 minutes.
Goal
By the end of this guide you will have created your first design and be ready to send it to a print shop!
Get Started in 5 Steps
Create Your Account
- Go to nowtoprint.com
- Click "Sign Up" in the top-right corner
- Enter your email and password, or continue with Google
- Click the verification link sent to your email
Create an Organisation
An organisation is created automatically on your first login:
- Personal Account: For your individual use only
- Company Account: Invite team members and share resources
You can rename the organisation at any time.
Create Your First Design
- From the dashboard click "New Design"
- Choose a template or start with a "Blank Canvas"
- Select a format (A4, A5, business card, etc.)
- Click "Start Designing"
Edit Your Design
Inside the Design Studio:
- Use the left panel to add text, shapes, or images
- Drag and drop elements to position them
- Use the right panel to adjust colour, font, and size
- Don't forget to "Save"!
Send to a Print Shop or Download
When your design is ready:
Option 1 — Download as PDF
- Click "Download" → "PDF/X-4" in the top menu
- Send the file to your preferred print shop
Option 2 — Post to the Marketplace
- Click "Create RFQ"
- Set quantity and delivery deadline
- Receive quotes from verified print shops

Design Studio
Left panel: toolbox — add text, images, shapes and backgrounds.
Centre canvas: live preview of your design; supports zoom and guides.
Right panel: properties — colour, font, size and layer controls for the selected element.
Preflight Check
Automatic Quality Check
Before you submit any job NowToPrint automatically checks: minimum 300 DPI resolution, 3 mm bleed, embedded fonts, and whether the PDF's colour intent/output intent is aligned with the target print workflow.
RFQ (Request for Quote)
Post a print request and let verified print shops compete for your business.
- Upload your print-ready file
- Specify quantity, size, paper and deadline
- Receive quotes within 24 hours
- Accept the best offer and place the order

Yes — the platform is completely free to use. You only pay when you place a print order.
How many designs can I create?
Unlimited. Store as many designs as you like.
Are my designs secure?
Yes. All designs are stored encrypted on secure servers. Only you and people you explicitly authorise can access them.
Can I download as PDF?
Yes — export print-ready PDF/X-4 files at any time.
Do I have to choose a print shop myself?
No. When you post an RFQ the platform automatically invites matching print shops to bid.
